Every year in the Fall there is a huge yard sale called the Trash To Treasures Along the Tenn-Tom. It stretches the length of the Tenn-Tom Waterway and every year there seems to be a lot more people setting up their yard sales to try to make a few extra dollars! I love going every year to try to find the "bargains" that you wouldn't normally find throughout the year. This year's finds were GREAT!! I am only posting the 2 greatest finds that I found this year on this post.

This find was the greatest deal ever! I only paid $10 for this 16 quart canner!! It needs a good cleaning and I am going to replace a few parts on it just to make sure that it won't blow my kitchen up! I checked EBay's prices for the parts and even adding those price's to it, I will still come out cheaper than if I had bought a new one. I am hoping to put it to good use this winter and get some meats canned to save some room in my freezer. We currently have 2 freezers but one is dedicated to the hides and fish bate my oldest boy gets during trapping season, fishing season, etc and I refuse to store my meat in the same freezer! That would be gross!!!

My 2nd greatest find for me is this hardback book. It will come in handy next year when we get started on the little cabin we are going to build across the road from our house. I only paid about .10 for this book. I got several very old cookbooks while we were out and about. I love finding these as well because they usually hold recipes that people have forgotten about or even recipes that were handwritten on the pages by the original owners.
Until next time........
